New Route of the Day – Americas (3 November 2021): Avelo between New Haven and Orlando

Avelo (IATA code XP) on Wednesday 3 November began flying from its second base at Tweed New Haven Airport (IATA code HVN) in Connecticut. The first flight was to Orlando. The airline is basing two 737-700s at the airport this winter and launching flights to six destinations, all in Florida. After the inaugural service to Orlando, flights to Fort Lauderdale began on 5 November followed by Tampa (8 November). Fort Myers service is set to begin on 11 November, West Palm Beach on 16 December and Sarasota/Bradenton on 13 January 2022.

According to Cirium Data and Analytics schedule information provided by the airline, Avelo is planning to operate 29 weekly departures from New Haven by February 2022. Orlando will have 7-weekly flights, Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers and West Palm Beach will each have 5-weekly flights, Tampa 4-weekly and Sarasota/Bradenton 3-weekly.
