New Routes of the Day – Americas (4 November 2021): Frontier Airlines from Orlando
Frontier Airlines added three more new routes from its Orlando base on 4 November when it began 2-weekly service to Cedar Rapids in Iowa, Fargo in North Dakota and San Salvador in El Salvador. All three routes will operate on Thursdays and Sundays using the airline’s A320-series fleet and none faces direct competition. The previous day Frontier had also started 2-weekly service to El Paso in Texas.
Over 70 routes from Orlando this winter
This November, Frontier is operating almost 400 weekly departures from Orlando spread across 74 non-stop routes. This compares with almost 300 weekly departures across 55 non-stop routes in November 2019. Frontier is now the third biggest carrier in Orlando, beaten only by Southwest (689 weekly departures) and Spirit (443). Two years ago, Frontier ranked only sixth, behind JetBlue, Delta and American, as well as Southwest and Spirit.
