Themes of the Week
- Frontier reduced May capacity -4% week over week.
- United pushed the start of eight ORD short-haul routes until June.
- Flights to the Middle-East continue to get suspended further out into the schedule.
- Breeze suspended Transcon flights to LAX until June.
Capacity Update
Allegiant (G4)
- Will end service to CAE on May 4. They currently only serve CAE from FLL.
- Will suspend service between HTS and FLL on May 4.
American (AA)
- Added special flights from CLT and PHL for the ABQ Balloon Fiesta in October. Congrats Albuquerque International Sunport!
- Added special flights for the National Championship Air Races in Roswell, NM (ROW) from PHX in September.
Boliviana de Aviacion/BofA (OB)
- Suspended service from Panama City, Panama (PTY) to IAD.
Breeze (MX)
- Suspended three LAX routes for May: ORF, PIT and PVD.
Contour (LF)
- Filed new seasonal flights between Beckley, WV (BKW) and MYR from June through August.
- Filed new flights between Ft. Leonard Wood (TBN) and BNA from June onward.
Delta (DL)
- Removed ANC to LAX from future schedules. It was scheduled to operate May 23 through September 9, 2026.
- Suspended MSP to SJU from July 5 through September.
Frontier (F9)
- Suspended 12 routes in parts of April and May: CUN to CVG, DEN, DFW, IAH and PHL; LAS to MIA and PHL; LAX to PHL; and MCO to PHX, SFO, SJO and SLC.
Iberia (IB)
- Suspended Barcelona, Spain (BCN) to SFO from May onward.
Qatar (QR)
- Extended the suspension of five U.S. routes until mid-June: ATL, BOS, IAH, LAX and SFO.
- Reduced capacity in five U.S. routes through June: DFW, IAD, JFK, MIA and SEA.
Southwest (WN)
- Suspended Puerto Vallarta (PVR) service in June from AUS, LAS, SAN and SNA.
United (UA)
- Pushed the start date of eight new ORD routes until June: AZO, BMI, CMI, CWA, LAN, LSE, MQT and RST.
- Suspended EWR to Dubai (DXB) until July 12 and Tel Aviv (TLV) until September 8.
- Suspended EWR to PSP in October and November.
Viva (VB)
- Suspended five U.S. routes from mid-April through May: Guadalajara (GDL) to IAH, LAS and OAK; Queretaro (QRO) to DFW; and Leon (BJX) to SAT.
- Filed new service between BNA and Mexico City (NLU) starting in December.
