Themes of the Week
- Alaska announced two new European routes.
- Allegiant announced nine new routes and extended their schedule to May 18, 2027.
- Capital Airlines will resume service to YVR in October.
- United is adding new service to Santa Fe, NM (SAF).
Capacity Update
Air Canada (AC)
- Suspended YYZ to Martinique (FDF) from October through December 19.
Air India (AI)
- Suspended YYZ to Mumbai (BOM) from March 27 through July 2.
Air Transat (TS)
- Suspended YUL to Cartagena (CTG) from October 1 through 28.
Alaska (AS)
- Announced and filed two new European routes from SEA: Athens (ATH) starting May 12 and Paris (CDG) starting May 26.
- Filed seven Consumer Electronic Show (CES) routes to LAS in January: BUR, EWR, JFK, LAX, OAK, SJC and SNA. BUR, EWR and OAK are new additions this year.
Allegiant (G4)
- Announced and filed nine new or returning routes starting in February: BOS to PGD, PIE and SFB; CVG to MCO; FLL to PSM and PVD; GFK to SFB; and PVD to SFB and SRQ. Congrats to Orlando Sanford International Airport on the new routes!
- Extended their schedule to May 18, 2027.
American (AA)
- Reduced November capacity by -3% week over week.
- Suspended CLT to Paris (CDG) from November through January.
- Suspended BOS to EYW from February 28 through March.
Bermudair (2T)
- Filed new service from EWR to South Caicos (XSC) from December through April with twice weekly service. American is the only other U.S. airline to serve XSC.
Capital Airlines (JD)
- Will resume service from Qingdao, China (TAO) to YVR from October on with once weekly service. They last served the route in March 2020. The route will also connect on to Hangzhou.
Delta (DL)
- Suspended JFK to Grand Cayman (GCM) and St Barts (SKB) from January 3 through February 12.
- Suspended LAX to San Jose, Costa Rica (SJO) from January 9 through April.
- Suspended LGA to Bermuda (BDA) and DTW to Munich (MUC) from March through mid-April.
Frontier (F9)
- Reduced October capacity by -1% and November by -3% week over week.
- Suspended DEN to FSD and MSN; and ISP to TPA from early October through November.
- Suspended BOS to RDU from October through November 19.
- Suspended CLE to DFW from October 27 through November.
Porter (PD)
- Suspended YYZ to Liberia, Costa Rica (LIR) and Nassau, Bahamas (NAS) in June and July.
- Suspended YHU to YQM from October 15 through 31.
United (UA)
- Filed new service from ORD to Santa Fe (SAF) from December through April.
- Pushed the start of new service from IAH to Caracas (CCS) until January 11.
- Suspended LAX to RSW in October.
