Themes of the Week

• Avelo filed three new routes on the west coast.
• Azul filed a new fifth freedom route.
• Delta suspended three NYC routes from October onward.
• Delta will resume CHA to LGA in October. Congrats Team CHA!
• Porter added four routes from Canada to the US.
• VivaAerobus added four routes to the US from Guadalajara (GDL).

Capacity Update

American (AA)

• Increased capacity from December 5-18 at 58 stations, which increased overall December capacity 1% week over week.

 

Avelo (XP)

• Extended service through the booking window (January 6) in 15 west coast markets.
• Suspended HVN to TVC after August. The route was scheduled to operate through November 2.
• Filed and announced new service from STS to ONT and SLC starting in October and new service from PSP to RDM starting on November 8.
• Cancelled service from SLE to STS from September 3 onward. Avelo will still offer service from SLE to BUR and LAS.

 

Azul (AD)

• Filed new service between Curacao (CUR) and FLL starting in December.

 

Bahamasair (UP)

• Suspended the resumption of Freeport, Bahamas (FPO) to RDU in January.

 

Breeze (MX)

• Resumed service from RDU to SDF in February. The market was last served in September 2023.
• Suspended CMH to PVD from September 3 through January.

 

Delta (DL)

• Suspended BDL to LGA from October 8 onward; BWI to JFK from October 28 onward and JFK to YUL from October 27 onward.
• Resumed CHA to LGA service from October 8 onward. Market was last served in March 2020.
• Increased to three daily flights from LAS to SAN and SMF from January onward.

 

Porter (PD)

• Announced and filed new service from YOW and YUL to LAS starting in November and new service from YYZ to PSP and SAN starting in December.

 

VivaAerobus (VB)

• Filed new service from Guadalajara, MX (GDL) starting in December to LAS, OAK and SAT and resuming service to DFW (last served in August 2015).

 

ZipAir (ZG)

• Refiled Tokyo (NRT) to SFO from November onward and NRT to SJC from December through January and March onward.
