Themes of the Week
- Canadian airlines suspended all flights to Cuba until at least late April due to fuel shortages in Cuba.
- Southwest added nine new routes.
- Delta is adding capacity to Hawaii.

Capacity Update
Aerolineas Argentinas (AR)
- Added special soccer World Cup flights June through August from Punta Cana, Dominican Republic (PUJ) to MIA.
Air Canada (AC)
- Suspended all flights to Cuba until May.
Air Transat (TS)
- Suspended all flights to Cuba until May.
Avelo (XP)
- Suspended BNA to ILM from March through April.
- Removed all 737-700s from their schedule from March onward.
Delta (DL)
- Filed new service from MSP to OGG starting in December and will resume BOS to HNL service in December. They last served the BOS to HNL in April 2025.
Eva Air (BR)
- Filed new service from Taipei, Taiwan (TPE) to IAD starting June 26 with service four times per week.
Frontier (F9)
- Removed ATL and RDU to SYR from flying in April and May.
- Extended service to BOI and GEG from DEN in June through September.
Southwest (WN)
- Extended their schedule through October 31, 2026.
- Filed nine new routes commencing in October: AUS to MEM, STS, TYS and VPS; BNA to ELP, MHT and RNO; JAN to MCO; and LAS to San Jose, Costa Rica (SJO).
Spirit (NK)
- Suspended MSY to Cancun, Mexico (CUN); EWR to SAV; and FLL to Grand Cayman (GCM) from mid-April onward.
- Added special Kentucky Derby flights to SDF from EWR.
United (UA)
- Filed new Essential Air Service from DEN to Fort Dodge, IA (FOD) and ORD to Lancaster, PA (LNS). United currently serves FOD via ORD, but will now serve both DEN and ORD. LNS service starts in June and United/SkyWest will receive $5.2m for the first year.
- Increased ORD capacity this week between 1% and 4% week over week from April onward. Some of the markets that saw the biggest capacity increases were BWI, AVP, SCE, BHM, ABE and LIT.
Volaris (Y4)
- Will suspend three routes to the U.S. from mid-April onward: Cabo San Lucas, MX (SJD) to OAK and ONT; and Zacatecas, MX (ZCL) to OAK.
WestJet (WS)
- Suspended all flights to Cuba until late April.
