- Delta added 11 flights for the Consumer Electronic Show (CES) in LAS. They also added four new routes.
- Breeze added nine new routes and three new destinations.
- Avelo added six new routes and two new destinations.
- United is headed to Cartagena, Colombia (CTG).
Small Community Air Service Development (SCASD) Grant Update

- Average amount requested: $866k (Total requested $50m) Total available up to $12m
- Average cash contribution: $659k ($469k avg if you exclude two submissions (BQK and SPN) with very high cash contributions)
- Marketing Support/Air Service Study/Fee Reduction submissions: 8
- State with the most submissions: TX (5), FL and NC (4)
- Biggest request: $1.6m – IPT
- Smallest request: $36.3k – LMT (Klamath Falls for Market and Catchment Study)
- 32 submissions were for Legacy or Hybrid service and 9 were for ULCC service
- 43 submissions had at least one airline letter of support and 13 did not (excludes market studies)
- 10 airports don’t currently have commercial service: Fort Pierce (FPR), Marathon (MTH), Hickory (HKY), Southern Pines (SOP), Youngstown (YNG), Klamath Falls (LMT), Salem (SLE), Latrobe (LBE), McKinney (TKI), Port Angeles (CLM)
- Ruidoso (RUI) applied for Contour service to DEN, but they already started service this month
Capacity Update
Air Canada (AC)
- Suspended seven routes from mid-December through early January.
- Suspended seven routes from October through mid-November.
- Suspended three routes from late October through March: YUL to DTW and MSP; and YYZ to IND.
- Removed YUL and YYZ to JFK from future schedules. The routes were scheduled to resume in October.
American (AA)
- Filed new service from CLT to Naples, FL (APF) from December through April 5.
- Suspended DFW to ALB from October through May 27.
- Suspended AUS to SJD from November 1 through 20; December 1 through 18; and January 3 through March.
- Increased flights from ORD in January through March by 33% week over week.
Avelo (XP)
- Filed five new routes starting in late November. HVN to BQN; LAL to BQN; and USA to MCO, RSW and TPA. Aguadilla, PR (BQN) is a new destination.
- Will swap service from HOU with service from IAH to HVN from September 21 onward.
Asiana (OZ)
- Pushed the restart of Seoul (ICN) to HNL until October 24.
Breeze (MX)
- Filed service on nine new routes: VRB to ACY, BWI and TTN; BTV to BWI; CHS and RSW to TTN; DAY to FLL, RDU and RSW. BWI, DAY and TTN are new airports for Breeze.
Delta (DL)
- Filed 11 routes to CES in LAS in January: AMS, CDG, FLL, HKG, ICN, LHR, MCO, MIA, PVG, SJC and TPE. HKG and TPE are new this year.
- Filed new service from EWR to LAX from April 12 onward with twice daily flights.
- Filed new service from AUS to RSW from November through April with once weekly flights.
- Filed new service from LGA to MLB from December onward with twice weekly flights.
- Resumed MKE to MCO service from January through April with once weekly flights. They last served the market in 2019.
- Suspended MSP to MQT and XWA from September 8 onward. XWA will be a station exit.
- Suspended service from SLC to YYZ from November 9 through April.
- Suspended SLC to RSW from November through December 18.
- Ending AUS to MEM earlier on October 5.
Qatar (QR)
- Reduced capacity on four U.S. routes from September onward: DOH to ATL, BOS, LAX and MIA.
Sun Country (SY)
- Suspended MSP to GRR from August 10 through October.
- Suspended MSP to RAP from August 4 through September.
- Suspended MSP to HOU, JAX and MSY for the majority of August.
United (UA)
- Filed new service from DEN to the Turks and Caicos (PLS) from December through April with once weekly flights.
- Filed new service to Cartagena, Colombia (CTG) from IAD and IAH from December onward.
- Filed new service from IAD and ORD to Owensboro, KY (OWB) from October onward. They are taking over the Essential Air Service (EAS) contract from Contour.
