Themes of the Week

Alaska is increasing capacity from Paine Field (PAE).
American reduced capacity in December and January and United reduced capacity in February.
Delta added two new routes for summer 2027 and WestJet is suspending three routes in summer 2027.

Capacity Update

Air Canada (AC)

Suspended YVR to Singapore (SIN) from January 27 onward.

Air North (4N)

Reduced October capacity in Canada by -84% (-54,840 seats) week over week.

Alaska (AS)

Resuming PAE to SJC from April 14th on with twice daily service. They last served the route in May 2020.
Removed PAE to HNL from future schedules. It was scheduled to operate December through April.
Increased capacity on three other PAE routes this spring: PDX, SAN and SFO.
Suspended OAK to LIH from November 1 through 19 and December through March 17.
Suspended PDX to LIH from November 20 through December 16 and May 2 onward.

American (AA)

Reduced capacity in December and January by -2% and -1% week over week.

Asiana (OZ)/Korean (KE)

Asiana Seoul (ICN) to SEA coded flights from October 12 onward will end as Korean fully takes over the route.

Delta (DL)

Added new service from DTW to Athens, Greece (ATH) from June 8 through October 28.
Added new service from BOS to Venice, Italy (VCE) from May 7 through October 29.

United (UA)

Reduced February capacity by -1% week over week with the biggest seat reductions in ORD, SFO and EWR.
Resuming seasonal service from EWR to Mallorca, Spain (PMI) early on March 28 and increasing service to once daily.
Extended service from EWR to Marrakech, Morocco (RAK) until May 25.

WestJet (WS)

Suspended three international routes for summer 2027: YHZ to Copenhagen, Denmark (CPH) and Madrid, Spain (MAD); and YYZ to Glasgow, Scotland (GLA).
