Air Service One – Bitesize Analysis of the Day – 14th May 2026 – Jet2.com UK bases

Jet2.com and Jet2holidays now operates a fleet of around 130 aircraft spread across 14 UK bases, with London Gatwick the most recent, which opened this summer. According to AIR SERVICE ONE analysis of Cirium schedules data for 2026 Q3, Jet2.com is offering 7.4% more seats from its bases than it did in 2025 Q3. That’s an extra 330,000 departing seats across all of its UK airports.
Just over 70% of that growth comes from the opening of its new Gatwick base. The only two of its 13 previous bases showing more than 2% growth during the key Q3 period are London Luton Airport (+41%) and Birmingham Airport (+5%).
During the critical, profit-generating third quarter, Jet2.com is the leading airline for seat capacity at Leeds Bradford Airport and Newcastle International Airport, ranks second at Birmingham, London Stansted Airport, East Midlands Airport, Glasgow Airport and Bournemouth Airport, and third at Manchester Airport, Bristol Airport, Edinburgh Airport, Liverpool John Lennon Airport and Belfast International Airport. At Luton Airport it ranks fourth and at Gatwick Airport seventh.
