Air Service One – Bitesize Analysis of the Day – 25th June 2026 – easyJet top country markets 2015-2026

Despite all sorts of network developments in the last decade, analysis by AIR SERVICE ONE of Cirium schedule data shows that easyJet’s top five country markets have almost the same market share of the airline’s total capacity, as they did in 2017. Surprising?

The UK (34%) leads the way followed by France (13%), Italy (12%), Spain (10%) and Switzerland (8%). The biggest change has been in Germany which accounted for 5% of easyJet’s seats in 2017 but grew to 9% in 2018 and 2019 when the airline developed its base in Berlin after the collapse of airberlin. However, post-pandemic easyJet has significantly cuts its capacity in Germany with Portugal now the airline’s sixth biggest market and Germany dropping to seventh.

Outside of the top seven and rounding out the top 10 in 2026 are Greece (2.7%), Netherlands (2.6%) and Morocco (1.7%). Countries no longer served by easyJet include Estonia, Israel, Jordan, Romania and Russia.
