Air Service One – Bitesize Analysis of the Day – 26th February 2026 – Top 15 easyJet airports in W25/26*

easyJet has increased its seat capacity by 5.1% this winter, according to analysis of Cirium schedules data. However, a look at the airline’s 15 busiest airports this winter shows that capacity has declined at nine of them and increased at only six. Five of the six airports where growth IS happening are in the UK. So where is easyJet’s growth this winter coming from?
In terms of additional seat capacity, the answer is SEA Milan Airports Linate Airport (an additional 352k seats compared with W24/25, an increase of 145%), Aeroporti di Roma‘s Fiumicino Airport (+139k seats, +35%), London Southend Airport (+136k seats, +281%), Birmingham Airport (+102k seats, +21%), Naples Airport (+96k seats, +21%), Brussels Airport (+92k seats, +141%), Zurich Airport Ltd (+89k seats, +47%) and Edinburgh Airport (+77k seats, +7%).
Growth at Milan LIN and Rome FCO was driven by easyJet being granted remediation slots by the European Commission from summer 2025 onwards, as part of the deal whereby Lufthansa was allowed to acquire a stake in Italian flag-carrier ITA Airways.
