flyadeal launches first Italy flights with Milan Bergamo Airport services

Saudi Arabian low-cost carrier flyadeal has launched its first-ever services to Italy with the introduction of flights to Milan Bergamo Airport from Jeddah and Riyadh.
The airline, a subsidiary of Saudi Arabia’s national carrier, SAUDIA, inaugurated nonstop operations from Jeddah on 1 July, followed by the launch of flights from the Saudi capital, Riyadh, on 2 July, further strengthening Milan Bergamo Airport’s connectivity with the Gulf region.
Both routes are operated three times per week using Airbus A320neo aircraft. Services from Jeddah operate on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, while flights from Riyadh run on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

The addition of the two routes brings Saudi Arabia into Milan Bergamo Airport’s network for the first time, making it the 45th country served by the airport during the 2026 summer season.
The new services are expected to boost both inbound tourism and outbound travel demand, while also supporting growing business ties between Northern Italy and Saudi Arabia. Passengers travelling from Milan Bergamo will gain direct access to two of Saudi Arabia’s largest cities, with onward connections available across the Middle East and Pakistan through flyadeal’s expanding network.
Giacomo Cattaneo, Director of Commercial Aviation, Marketing and Communications at airport operator SACBO, said: “We are delighted to celebrate the launch of flyadeal’s first-ever services to Italy and to welcome the airline to Milan Bergamo Airport. The start of operations to Jeddah and Riyadh represents an important step in strengthening our connectivity with Saudi Arabia and the wider Gulf region.”
flyadeal has expanded rapidly since its launch in 2017. The airline currently operates a fleet of more than 40 Airbus A320 family aircraft from bases in Jeddah, Riyadh, Madinah and Dammam, serving over 40 seasonal and year-round destinations across Saudi Arabia, the Middle East, Europe, North Africa and South Asia.
