flyadeal to launch Milan Bergamo flights in Italian market debut

Milan Bergamo Flyadeal

Saudi Arabian low-cost carrier flyadeal will enter the Italian market this summer with the launch of nonstop services from Milan Bergamo Airport to Jeddah and Riyadh.

Services to Jeddah will commence on 1 July and operate three times per week, on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, while flights to Riyadh will launch a day later, on 2 July, with a three weekly schedule on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Both routes will be operated by Airbus A320neo aircraft.

The addition of flyadeal will further strengthen Milan Bergamo Airport’s growing connectivity with the Gulf region, with Saudi Arabia becoming the 45th country served by the airport during the 2026 summer season.

The new routes are expected to cater to both leisure and business demand, while also serving communities in Northern Italy with cultural, family and religious ties to Saudi Arabia.

The flights will also provide passengers with onward connectivity via flyadeal’s network across the Middle East and Pakistan.

Milan Bergamo Airport, located around 45 minutes from central Milan, is increasingly positioning itself as a gateway for Gulf carriers, with Kuwait’s Jazeera Airways also due to launch services to the airport next week.

Giacomo Cattaneo, Director of Commercial Aviation, Marketing & Communications at airport operator SACBO, said: “We are delighted to welcome flyadeal to Milan Bergamo Airport as the airline makes its debut in the Italian market. Becoming the first airport in Italy to serve flyadeal is a significant achievement and reflects Milan Bergamo Airport’s growing appeal among international carriers seeking access to Northern Italy’s strong leisure, business and VFR markets. These new services to Jeddah and Riyadh further strengthen our presence in the Gulf region and open exciting new opportunities for inbound tourism, business exchange and global connectivity.”

flyadeal has rapidly expanded since its launch, operating a young fleet of 46 Airbus A320 family aircraft from bases in Jeddah, Riyadh, Madinah and Dammam to more than 40 seasonal and year-round destinations across Saudi Arabia, the Middle East, Europe, North Africa and South Asia.
