Geneva Airport looks at 2026 with confidence

Despite the continuously changing world of today, Geneva Airport keeps working to consolidate and improve its flight offer. For 2026, the long-haul network will integrate the recent arrival of China Eastern, as a complement to Air China, making GVA the only airport in Switzerland with routes to the two Chinese major cities.
Other long-haul routes include recently improved services by Ethiopian Airlines and a solid offer on North Atlantic with routes to YUL, JKF, EWR and IAD (respectively by Air Canada, Swiss and United).
Services to the Gulf region are developed with Etihad increasing to 10 times weekly as of February 2026. This comes in addition to the double-daily Emirates route and daily Qatar Airways.
New European and leisure destinations
For the current winter season, several new destinations are adding up to Geneva’s network: Krakow (Poland), Rennes (France), Skopje (Macedonia) and Fuerteventura (Canary Islands) have been announced by easyJet. The route to Tbilisi (Georgia) will also continue in the Winter and have proved very successful so far. Air Serbia (Belgrade) and Ajet (Istanbul SAW) are also recent additions.
Untapped long-haul demand
Despite these positive trends, Geneva Airport still has untapped potential in several intercontinental markets, particularly in Asia, South America and North America. Singapore stands out as the most promising opportunity, with strong business, diplomatic, and leisure demand. Other attractive routes include Tokyo, Seoul, Hongkong in Asia and São Paulo as the top priority in South America, all of which showing a particularly high-yield passenger demand.
