LEAV Aviation stations aircraft at Münster/Osnabrück Airport

German leisure carrier LEAV Aviation has launched operations from Münster/Osnabrück Airport, marking the airport’s largest new route development for the 2026 summer season.
The inaugural flight represents the start of a major partnership between the airline and the airport, with LEAV basing one Airbus A320 at Münster/Osnabrück and introducing four leisure routes.
The new operation strengthens Münster/Osnabrück Airport’s position in the leisure market while expanding its network with two entirely new destinations. LEAV will serve Heraklion three times per week, with frequencies set to increase to five weekly flights in the autumn. The airline is also introducing two weekly rotations to Fuerteventura and two weekly services to Rhodes, both new destinations from Münster/Osnabrück. In addition, LEAV will operate weekly autumn flights to Mallorca.
The decision by LEAV to station an aircraft at FMO is viewed as a significant vote of confidence in the airport and its catchment potential. Based aircraft typically allow for greater operational flexibility and can support future network growth, while also strengthening an airport’s appeal to passengers in its surrounding region.
Commenting on the launch, Mathias Richter, Head of Aviation Business Development at Münster/Osnabrück Airport, said, “We are delighted that LEAV Aviation has begun operating at Münster/Osnabrück Airport today. With the launch of four destinations, two of which are new, the airline is improving the airport’s leisure route network. The airline has made a conscious decision to base an aircraft at FMO due to its strong catchment area and the 24/7 opening hours, which allow for optimal and flexible flight planning.”
The addition of LEAV comes as Münster/Osnabrück continues to target growth in the holiday segment, where demand has remained strong.
