Lufthansa’s Discover Airlines to launch Inverness service

Discover Airlines will launch flights between Frankfurt and Inverness next summer, marking the Lufthansa Group carrier’s entry onto the Scottish market. The seasonal service will commence on 19 June, 2027 and run weekly, every Saturday, until 11 September.

It will represent the first-ever nonstop service between Frankfurt and Inverness. Flights will depart Frankfurt at 13.40 local time, arriving in Inverness at 14.45 local time, while the return service will leave the Scottish airport at 15.30 local time and land in Frankfurt at 18.30 local time.

The new route will provide passengers from the Scottish Highlands with access to Discover Airlines’ Frankfurt hub and onward connections across the Lufthansa Group network. It will also target inbound tourism from Germany, which is Scotland’s largest European visitor market.

Inverness Airport previously had links with the Lufthansa Group through Lufthansa-operated flights to Dusseldorf, while Discover Airlines’ arrival will introduce a new carrier to the airport. Discover operates from Frankfurt and Munich and is part of the Lufthansa Group.
