In addition to these new routes, the airport will facilitate increased capacity during April and the first half of May to accommodate the surge in travel during the Easter and Labour Day holiday periods. During this time, several airlines will introduce additional flights and deploy extra capacity on selected routes.

These include three weekly flights by Ryanair to Reggio Calabria, as well as two weekly services by Qanot Sharq to Urgench and Tashkent. Additional capacity will also be deployed by Ryanair across several domestic and international routes from Milan Bergamo Airport, while Wizz Air will increase frequencies to Bucharest and Tirana during this period.

Over the Summer 2026 season, Milan Bergamo Airport will offer travellers over 13.2 million seats on scheduled air services, an increase of 11.5% compared to the previous year. During this period, Milan Bergamo Airport will offer the most flights to Spain, Poland and Romania among international markets.

Giacomo Cattaneo, Director of Commercial Aviation, Marketing & Communications at SACBO, said: “We are very pleased to present our Summer 2026 schedule, which reflects the continued confidence airlines place in Milan Bergamo and the strong demand for travel from northern Italy. Over the past several years, Milan Bergamo Airport has undertaken significant infrastructure upgrades, including improvements to passenger facilities, apron capacity and operational areas. These investments ensure that the airport is fully prepared to accommodate the anticipated increase in flights and passenger volumes during the summer season, while continuing to provide a high level of efficiency and service for both airlines and travellers.”
