New Route of the Day (13 May 2026): FlyArystan between Almaty and Gazipasa

ALA-GZP

FlyArystan, the low-cost subsidiary of Kazakhstan’s flag carrier Air Astana, launched flights between Almaty and Gazipasa, in southern Türkiye, on Wednesday 13 May. The 3,860-kilometre route will be maintained 2-weekly, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, with the A320 aircraft. The carrier faces no competition on the route.

Flight FS7111 departs Almaty at 10:40 local time, arriving in Gazipasa at 13:35 local time. The return service, operating as flight FS7112, takes off at 14:35 local time, touching back down in Kazakhstan at 22:50 local time.

What they said

Johan Eidhagen, President and CEO of FlyArystan, said: “Today, travel is increasingly about choice and thoughtful planning. We are seeing changes in passenger behaviour, with more people approaching travel consciously, planning their itineraries in advance, seeking new leisure formats, and looking for alternatives to overcrowded destinations. Gazipaşa is a perfect example of this trend: a calmer destination with convenient logistics and easy access to popular resorts. By launching flights from Astana and Almaty, we are expanding travel opportunities while also strengthening transport and tourism connectivity between Kazakhstan and Türkiye, supporting the development of business, cultural, and humanitarian ties between our countries.”

Ali Ozgur Pehlivan, Director of TAV Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport, added: “We are pleased to welcome FlyArystan’s new direct flight from Almaty at Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport. Together with our stakeholders, we will continue working to connect Gazipaşa with more international destinations and further strengthen the region’s tourism potential. It is also particularly meaningful for us that both Almaty and Gazipaşa-Alanya airports are part of the TAV Airports portfolio. We are committed to delivering the best travel experience to our passengers across different parts of the world. We believe these new routes will contribute to the cultural and economic ties between Kazakhstan and Türkiye.”

Gazipasa now served by 18 airlines

Gazipasa Airport opened in 2010 in order to provide a closer entry point to the popular tourist hotspot of Alanya than Antalya Airport, which previously served the city.

With the addition of FlyArystan’s Almaty service, which complements its operations from Astana launched last year, Gazipasa Airport now offers direct flights to a total of 18 destinations, including 16 international cities across 10 countries.

Serving 17 airlines, Gazipasa Airport handled a total of 1,004,377 passengers in 2025. Gazipasa Airport is operated by TAV Airports, which also runs Almaty International Airport.

Established in 2018, FlyArystan has a fleet of 15 A320s and 13 A320neos. In addition to domestic flights within Kazakhstan, the airline’s biggest international market is Georgia. It also serves Egypt, Uzbekistan, India, Azerbaijan, China and Qatar.
