New Route of the Day 2 (14 December 2023): PLAY between Reykjavik and Frankfurt

PLAY at Frankfurt

PLAY now serves Germany’s busiest airport. On 14 December the Icelandic carrier began regular service on the 2,410-kilometre route between Reykjavik KEF and Frankfurt FRA utilising its A321s. Weekly frequencies vary between three and six per week over the winter season. Competition on the route comes from Icelandair’s daily service and Lufthansa’s 3-weekly service. The airline already serves Berlin year-round and offers summer-only flights to Düsseldorf (resuming 6 June) and Hamburg (resuming 21 May).

In total PLAY is offering non-stop flights to over 20 destinations this winter from Reykjavik; four in the US (Baltimore, Boston, New York SWF and Washington IAD), one in Canada (Hamilton serving Toronto) and the rest in Europe.
