New Route of the Day (2 February 2026): easyJet between Glasgow and Rome FCO
easyJet commenced flights between Glasgow and Rome FCO on Monday 2 February. The 1,975-kilometre service will be maintained 3-weekly, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, with the A320-family fleet. The LCC will compete against Jet2.com and Wizz Air, both of which operate 2-weekly flights between the two cities.
Flight U23185 departs Glasgow at 06:30 local time, arriving in Rome at 10:30 local time. The return service, operating as flight U23186, departs Fiumicino Airport at 11:05 local time, touching back down at 13:30 local time.

easyJet is Glasgow’s largest airline
During Q1 2026, easyJet accounts for the largest share of scheduled capacity at Glasgow Airport. It holds 34.3% of all seats, or 728,478. It is ahead of second-placed British Airways with 442,698 and third-placed Jet2.com with 257,348 seats.
In 2025, easyJet was also Glasgow’s largest airline with 3,380,384 seats, ahead of British Airways with 1,666,594.
During 2026, easyJet will further expand its network from Glasgow. In addition to Rome FCO, the LCC will introduce flights to Lisbon on 29 March and Sharm el Sheikh on 1 August. Both are planned to operate on a year-round basis alongside Rome FCO. In addition, easyJet will add flights to Malta on 4 August, with the route set to be maintained on a seasonal basis.
