Transavia between Rotterdam and Bastia

Transavia (IATA code HV) added a new route from its Rotterdam base on Friday 22 April with the introduction of a 2-weekly service to Bastia, on the French island of Corsica. The 1,110-kilometre route faces no competition. Flights will operate on Mondays and Fridays using the airline’s 737-800s. Transavia already serves the Corsican airport from four other airports; Brest, Montpellier and Nantes in France, as well as Fez in Morocco.

Serving over 30 destinations from Rotterdam this summer

This summer, Transavia will be offering almost 150 weekly departures from Rotterdam across a network of over 30 non-stop routes. Of the eight routes that will operate at least daily, six are in Spain with the other two routes being Faro (served 12-weekly) and Split (served 8-weekly). All routes are served at least 2-weekly. The airline also offers a number of seasonal, winter-only destinations aimed at the ski market. These are Geneva, Grenoble, Innsbruck and Salzburg.

According to Cirium schedule data, Transavia accounts for almost 75% of all flights and seats at Rotterdam this summer. Other airlines present at the airport include British Airways (from London LCY), Corendon, Pegasus Airlines and TUIfly Netherlands.
