What they said

Dean Boljuncic, Head of Commercial Development at Maastricht Airport, said: “This collaboration is viewed not just as a short-term arrangement but as the foundation for a long-standing relationship aimed at diversifying the airport’s flight destinations. Pegasus Airlines’ commitment to using quiet and fuel-efficient aircraft resonates with MAA’s mission towards sustainability and environmental stewardship, showcasing a shared vision between the two entities.”

Pegasus Airlines now runs flights from Istanbul SAW to Amsterdam, Eindhoven, and Rotterdam, from Antalya to Amsterdam and Maastricht, as well as from Kayseri to the largest city in the Netherlands. In total, the LCC boasts 31-weekly departures from Türkiye to the Netherlands.

Despite facing competition on its new Maastricht route, unlike Corendon, which primarily targets package holiday seekers, Pegasus Airlines focuses on catering to individuals purchasing standalone tickets. As a result, this diversification in service offerings is expected to attract a wider audience of travellers, potentially leading to an increase in tourist flow to Antalya from Maastricht and vice versa.
