New Route of the Day (22 October 2025): Norse Atlantic Airways between Stockholm ARN and Bangkok

Norse Atlantic Airways introduced a new long-haul service between Stockholm ARN and Bangkok on Wednesday 22 October. The 8,300-kilometre route will be maintained 2-weekly, departing the Swedish capital on Wednesdays and Sundays, with the 338-seat 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft. Frequencies will grow to 4-weekly in December. It will compete against Thai Airways’ daily rotations between the two cities.
What they said
Bjorn Tore Larsen, CEO of Norse Atlantic Airways, said: “We are honoured by the trust so many passengers have placed in Norse Atlantic for their journeys to Thailand. The launch of a direct service from Stockholm to Bangkok is a testament to that trust, and to our promise of making long-haul travel more accessible, more comfortable and more inspiring. With this new route, we continue our mission to connect continents with the spirit of exploration that has always been part of our Norse DNA.”
Jonas Abrahamsson, President and CEO of airport operator Swedavia, added: I’m delighted that Norse Atlantic continues to invest at Stockholm Arlanda Airport. The investment shows great confidence in the Swedish air travel market and will strengthen the ties between Sweden and Thailand. Swedavia’s main goal is to increase connectivity and make it easier for people to meet, whether it is for business, leisure or to visit family and friends.”
Norse Atlantic Airways with five new Thailand routes
Norse Atlantic Airways’ Stockholm ARN – Bangkok service is one of three to be operated by the airline between Scandinavia and Thailand, alongside the upcoming Stockholm ARN – Phuket and Oslo – Phuket flights, launching December 4 and 8 respectively. Together, these routes form part of Norse Atlantic’s five inaugural services to Thailand this winter season, which also include London LGW from 26 October and Manchester, starting 26 November.
Thailand remains the top Asian destination for Swedish travellers, welcoming 145,188 visitors from January until 15 October, up 8.56% year-on-year. The majority spend on average 20 days in the country.
