New Route of the Day (27 June 2024): Pegasus Airlines between Istanbul SAW and Edinburgh


Pegasus Airlines commenced operations between Istanbul SAW and Edinburgh on Thursday 27 June. The 2,900-kilometre service will run 2-weekly, on Thursdays and Saturdays, with the carrier’s Airbus A320-family fleet. No other airline maintains flights between the two cities, which are now linked for the first time.

Flight PC1187 departs Istanbul SAW at 11:25 local time, arriving in Edinburgh at 14:10 local time. The return service, operating as flight PC1188, takes off from the Scottish airport at 15:15 local time, touching back down in Türkiye at 21:40 local time.

UK is now Pegasus Airlines’ fourth-largest market

Pegasus Airlines maintains operations from four airports in the United Kingdom this summer, offering a total of ten routes.

It operates the largest volume of flights and capacity from London STN, with services to Ankara, Antalya, Dalman, Istanbul SAW, and Izmir. Furthermore, it flies from Manchester to Antalya, Dalman and Istanbul SAW, as well as from Birmingham to Istanbul SAW.

During the peak of S24, Pegasus Airlines has a total of 82-weekly departing flights from the United Kingdom with just over 17,000 available seats.

The United Kingdom is Pegasus Airlines’ fourth-largest market this summer based on available capacity, behind only the Turkish domestic market, Germany, and Cyprus, with the LCC only serving the contested north side of the Mediterranean island.
