New Route of the Day (29 March 2026): Virgin Atlantic between London LHR and Seoul ICN

LHR-ICN

Virgin Atlantic added another destination in Asia to its network on Sunday 29 March by introducing flights between London LHR and Seoul ICN. The 8,885-kilometre service will be maintained daily with the 258-seat 787-9 aircraft. The carrier will compete against daily Korean Air and daily Asiana Airlines flights between the two capitals.

Flight VS208 departs London LHR at 13:25 local time, arriving in Seoul ICN at 10:05 local time the following morning. The return service, operating as flight VS209, takes off at 12:25 local time, touching back down at Europe’s busiest airport at 18:50 local time.

What they said

Juha Jaervinen, Chief Commercial Officer at Virgin Atlantic, said: “We’re thrilled to be launching our new service to Seoul at one of the most captivating times to visit this vibrant and forward-looking city. From historic palaces and world-class shopping to a thriving food scene and cultural festivals, there’s so much for travellers to explore. And thanks to our collaboration with SkyTeam partners including Korean Air, travellers can easily connect onwards across South Korea and beyond, all while enjoying the premium service which Virgin Atlantic is renowned for.”

Virgin Atlantic’s Asia network impacted by Middle East conflict

Virgin Atlantic currently plans to have four destinations in Asia this summer, with Seoul ICN complementing its services in India, which include Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru. Operations to Dubai and Riyadh have been temporarily suspended due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

As a result, during the height of the summer season, Virgin Atlantic plans to run 47-weekly flights to Asia, with 12,960 departing seats per week available on the market. The carrier will maintain up to 2-daily flights to Mumbai and 13-weekly each to Delhi and Bangaluru.
