New Route of the Day (31 March 2026): Asiana Airlines between Seoul ICN and Milan MXP

Asiana Airlines commenced flights between Seoul ICN and Milan MXP on Tuesday March 31. The 8,900-kilometre route will be maintained 3-weekly, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, with the A350-900 aircraft. The carrier will complement the 4-weekly flights operated by its parent company Korean Air between the two cities.
Flight OZ581 departs Seoul ICN at 13:45 local time, arriving in Milan MXP at 20:00 local time. The return service, operating as flight OZ582, takes off at 22:00 local time, touching back down in the South Korean capital at 16:35 local time the following afternoon.
What they said
Jong Man Park, Vice President of Asiana Airlines, said: “With the inauguration of this new route from Milan, we aim to further expand and diversify the flight offerings available to our passengers between Europe, Korea, and Southeast Asia, always placing comfort and safety as our top priorities.”
Aldo Schmid, Head of Aviation Business Development at operator SEA Aeroporti di Milano, added: “The entry of a prestigious airline like Asiana into the Milan market significantly strengthens our long-haul offering and consolidates our airport’s position as a global gateway for premium traffic. The three additional weekly flights will complete the connectivity between Milan and Seoul with a daily product, meeting the constantly growing demand. This demand is driven primarily by corporate traffic, which has historically dominated this route, and increasingly by a rapidly expanding leisure component in both directions, driven by the growing cultural interest between the two markets.”
