What they said
Balazs Bogats, Airline Development Director at Budapest Airport, said: “Turkey is our fifth largest country market and with the addition of Wizz Air’s new service, which will be joined by the carrier’s connection to Antalya later in the season, we will be offering more than 50 weekly flights to four popular destinations in the large peninsula. As a significant crossroad for trade and transportation between the East and the West, we’re sure there will be high demand for Wizz Air’s service to Istanbul, from both business and leisure customers.”

The flights mark the airline’s return to Turkey’s largest city for the first time since 2016. Wizz Air also becomes the first ULCC to serve Istanbul IST, offering a total of over 400,000 seats between the city and Europe this summer.
Wizz Air will further expand its operations from Hungary to Turkey with the introduction of a seasonal 3-weekly service between Budapest and Antalya on 24 May, as well as 2-weekly flights from Debrecen to Antalya from 10 June.
