Red Sea Airlines inaugurated a new leisure service between Hurghada and Münster/Osnabrück on Friday 4 April. Flights between the two are already maintained weekly by Sundair and will be complemented by Nesma Airlines from 2 July.
Three new airlines at Münster/Osnabrück
In 2025, three new airlines will start operations at Münster/Osnabrück. Apart from Red Sea Airlines, they include Nesma Airlines from Hurghada and Aegean Airlines from Crete, which will operate seasonally between July and November on behalf of tour operator TUI.
For the summer of 2025, Ryanair has expanded its network with the launch of two new routes: London STN and Malaga.
Furthermore, Corendon Airlines will add service to Izmir, its second route from Münster/Osnabrück to Türkiye.
Münster/Osnabrück is a favoured airport for leisure travel, offering direct connections to popular holiday destinations across Europe and North Africa, including flights to Spain, Greece, Turkey, and Egypt. Additionally, it has strong partnerships with carriers like Lufthansa, connecting passengers through Munich’s hub, making it easy to access destinations worldwide.
Münster/Osnabrück registers 30% growth
In 2024, Münster/Osnabrück was the fastest-growing airport in Germany, handling 1,285,541 passengers – a 30% increase compared to 2023. This growth was driven by a significant rise in leisure travel demand, especially during the summer and autumn holiday periods. The airport was already one of the few in Germany to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic by 2023, making it one of the best-recovered airports in the country.
