New Route of the Day (7 April 2023): Air Serbia between Belgrade and Ankara

Air Serbia introduced a second destination in Turkey to its network by inaugurating flights between Belgrade and Ankara on Friday 7 April. The 1,165-kilometre route will be maintained 4-weekly on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. The airline competes against Turkish Airlines’ regional brand AnadoluJet between the two airports, although Air Serbia codeshares on its Turkish counterpart’s operations. Air Serbia will maintain flights to Ankara with its A319 aircraft.

Bosko Rupic, General Manager for Commercial and Strategy at Air Serbia, said: “The introduction of direct flights between the two capitals will enhance the already great economic, social and cultural cooperation of Serbia and Turkey, and further improve the mobility of people and cargo.”
Air Serbia adds two new routes to Turkey
This summer, Air Serbia is introducing two new routes to Turkey. In addition to Ankara, the carrier will add Izmir to its network on 15 April, which will be maintained 2-weekly. Up until now, the airline’s only destination in Turkey was Istanbul IST, which it plans to serve up to 21-weekly this summer.
Air Serbia also operates regular charter flights from Belgrade to Antalya, Alanya, Bodrum and Dalaman in Turkey throughout the summer.
