New Route of the Day – Americas (10 August 2022): Spirit between Las Vegas and Reno

Spirit has begun 2-daily service on the 555-kilometre, intra-Nevada route between Las Vegas and Reno. The inaugural flight took place on 10 August. The route is already served by four other carriers:

• Southwest: 54-weekly
• JSX: 5-weekly
• Allegiant: 4-weekly
• Frontier: 3-weekly

Reno becomes the newest airport to be served by Spirit for the first time. In recent weeks it has also added Albuquerque in New Mexico (on 3 August) and Boise in Idaho (on 5 August) as new airports. Both these airports also welcomed their maiden Spirit service from Las Vegas. According to analysis of Cirium data for August, this brings to 83 the number of airports currently served by Spirit.
