What they said

Adam Scott, Founder and CEO of BermudAir, said: “Our year-round service to Baltimore provides Bermuda residents with another convenient link to the US East Coast for leisure, business and very importantly medical travel. It’s also a great addition for inbound travellers from overseas. This expansion demonstrates our dedication to meeting our passengers’ needs and strategically enhancing our service offerings, based on continual market feedback and evaluation.”

Ricky Smith, Executive Director and CEO of Baltimore Airport, added: “We are thrilled to welcome BermudAir and this premier service to the island paradise of Bermuda. BermudAir is growing quickly and creating new opportunities for tourism and economic development. Our customers will appreciate the airline’s quick and easy access to Bermuda’s natural beauty, culture, and history.”

BermudAir’s fourth destination in the US

BermudAir, which launched operations in September 2023, has quickly expanded its US footprint, with Baltimore becoming its fourth destination in the country. It already serves Boston 6-weekly, Fort Lauderdale 5-weekly, and White Plains in New York state 3-weekly. In total, the carrier operates 19-weekly departures from Bermuda to the US, with just over 1,250 weekly seats on the market in each direction.

The carrier currently only serves the US East Coast, with plans to further expand with the launch of a 3-weekly Orlando MCO service on 26 March.

BermudAir is the flagship airline of Bermuda and the only locally based carrier on the island, offering flights with a pair of E175 aircraft. The inaugural service to Baltimore marked its 1,000th flight since its launch.

Launching initially as a premium-only airline with a single business class cabin on its aircraft, the carrier quickly abandoned the concept after a month of operations and introduced an economy class cabin as well.
