New Route of the Day – Americas (2 February 2026): Porter Airlines between Vancouver and Phoenix
Porter Airlines introduced seasonal flights between Vancouver and Phoenix on Monday 2 February. The 1,980-kilometre service will be maintained daily with E195-E2 aircraft. The airline will compete head-to-head against daily Air Canada and WestJet operations on the route, which will be maintained until 19 April.

This route makes Phoenix’s unique desert and mountain landscape more accessible to our passengers in the west and offers travellers a seamless connection to additional destinations in the US, through our codeshare partner, American Airlines.”
Russ Atkinson, Director, Air Service Development at Vancouver Airport, added: “We are pleased to support Porter Airlines’ growth at YVR and celebrate this additional new service from Vancouver. The new non-stop route to Phoenix strengthens connectivity for British Columbians, adds capacity for a key leisure and business destination, and supports economic activity while providing travellers with greater choice.”
Porter Airlines with five Vancouver routes
The Ontario-based carrier now offers five routes from Vancouver, including Toronto YYZ, Hamilton, Ottawa and Montreal. Porter Airlines recently established a crew base for flight attendants and pilots in Vancouver and plans to continue exploring further growth options.
The decision to add a US route to its Vancouver roster was based on several factors, including a recent codeshare partnership with American Airlines. The partnership provides greater connectivity for both airlines on either side of the border and was the first real opportunity for Porter to add flights from Vancouver to other cities outside of Eastern Canada.
The Vancouver – Phoenix route becomes Porter’s third connection to Phoenix, complementing year-round flights from Toronto YYZ and seasonal service from Ottawa.
