New Route of the Day – Americas (22 November 2024): Porter Airlines between Tampa and Ottawa
Porter Airlines inaugurated seasonal winter flights between Tampa and Ottawa on Friday 22 November. The 2,020-kilometre service will operate 4-weekly, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, utilising the carrier’s 132-seat E195-E2 aircraft. Porter Airlines will compete against Air Canada’s 2-weekly rotations between the two cities.
Flight PD530 departs Tampa at 11:10 local time, arriving in Ottawa at 14:20 local time. The return service, operating as flight PD531, takes off from Canada’s capital at 16:20 local time, touching back down in Tampa at 19:55 local time.

Porter Airlines adds two new Tampa routes
Apart from its new service between Tampa and Ottawa, Porter Airlines is also introducing flights between the Florida city and Nova Scotia’s Halifax. The network addition will commence on 5 December and run 3-weekly.
Porter Airlines began operations from Tampa last year with daily seasonal flights to Toronto YYZ. This winter season, Porter Airlines restored flights to Canada’s largest city but will double its service to 2-daily flights starting 13 December.
During W24/25, Porter Airlines will boast a total of 21-weekly flights out of Tampa. All services are maintained with the E195-E2 jet.
