Iberojet launches first US destination

Iberojet, owned by the Barcelo Group, was initially established under the name Evelop Airlines, before it became a sister company to Portuguese airline Orbest. On 8 December 2020, Evelop was merged with Orbest and the two carriers subsequently started operating under the Iberojet name.

Iberojet operates a fleet of seven aircraft including a single A320, two A330-200s, two A330-900s and two A350-900s.

Orlando becomes Iberojet’s first destination in the US, with the bulk of its leisure operations focused on Central and South America. The carrier also serves Mauritius and Thailand on a regular basis, with the carrier to commence flights to the Uzbek capital of Tashkent in September.
