New Route of the Day – Americas (28 June 2023): Copa Airlines between Panama City and Baltimore/Washington

Copa Airlines commenced flights between Panama City and Baltimore/Washington on Wednesday 28 June, becoming the first Central American carrier to operate to the US airport. The 3,3450-kilometre service will be maintained 4-weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays with the 737-800 aircraft.
Flight CM708 departs Panama City at 09:07 local time, arriving in Baltimore/Washington at 15:07 local time. The return service, operating as flight CM709, takes off from the US airport at 16:22 local time, touching back down in Panama at 20:22 local time.

Copa Airlines to serve 15 mainland US cities
Baltimore/Washington becomes Copa Airlines’ 14th destination in the US mainland, with a 4-weekly service to Austin to launch on 6 July for a total of 15. As a result, Copa Airlines will maintain its biggest US operation to date. The US is a crucially important part of Copa Airlines’ network. According to Cirium schedules information, it has 195-weekly one-way flights to the country in August, more than to any other market. Miami is Copa’s leading US route with 47 weekly flights. It is followed by Orlando MCO, New York JFK and Los Angeles.
