New Route of the Day – Americas (6 December 2023): JetBlue between New York JFK and Belize
JetBlue introduced flights between New York JFK and Belize on Wednesday 6 December, marking the first time the two have been connected. The 2,915-kilometre service will be maintained 3-weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays with the A320 aircraft. The carrier faces no competition on the route.
Flight B62781 departs New York JFK at 09:10 local time, arriving in Belize at 12:46 local time. The return service, operating as flight B62784, takes off from the central American state at 13:55 local time, touching back down at JFK at 18:56 local time.

Belize is JetBlue’s fourth destination in Central America
JetBlue’s becomes the only airline to offer non-stop flights from New York JFK to Belize. Belize City is now the company’s fourth Central American destination, following Guatemala City, San Jose, and Liberia in Costa Rica.
JetBlue becomes the seventh US airline operating in Belize, complementing American, Alaska Airlines, Delta, Southwest Airline, Sun Country, and United.
Majority of all visitors in Belize are from the US
JetBlue is the latest United States-based carrier to add new flights to Belize, a nod to the growing demand for a Belize getaway among American travellers. More than 250,000 Americans have travelled to Belize so far this year, almost 70% of all visitors to the country.
Located on the north-eastern coast of Central America, Belize is the least populated country in Central America. Its diverse flora and fauna, as well as its pristine coast, draws visitors from across the world.
