New Route of the Day – Americas (6 November 2021): American between Tulsa and Miami

MIA - TUL route details American Airlines has resumed non-stop service between Tulsa and Miami after a break of over three years. The 1,880-kilometre route will operate every Saturday, with the first flight having taken place on 6 November. Embraer E175s operated by Envoy Air Inc. will be used on the route. American last connected the two airports in August 2018 when it used its own 737-800s on the route, which was also operated just weekly.

Now serving eight routes from Tulsa

American now offers non-stop service to eight destinations from Tulsa, compared with just four in November 2019. The older routes to Charlotte, Chicago ORD, Dallas/Fort Worth and Los Angeles have been joined by Austin (served daily since 2 November 2021), Phoenix (daily since 5 November 2020), Washington DCA (6-weekly since 3 November 2021) and now Miami. American is the leading airline in Tulsa, with 112 weekly departing flights this November, ahead of United (88), Southwest (57) and Delta (39). Compared with November 2019, American has increased its weekly flights by nine, while its three nearest rivals have all reduced their flights at the airport. DCA - TUL ribbon cut
