New Routes of the Day (1 July 2026): Eurowings’ new routes from Cologne Bonn

Eurowings in Cologne

Eurowings launched the first of three new routes from Cologne Bonn on Wednesday 1 July.

  • 1 July: Prishtina (2-weekly)
  • 2 July: Tbilisi (2-weekly)
  • 17 July: Belgrade (2-weekly)

The airline will face competition only on its Prishtina route, where GP Aviation operates 2-weekly flights.

What they said

Max Kownatzki, CEO of Eurowings, said: “Pristina, Tbilisi, Belgrade – three cities that tell stories. And now accessible directly from Cologne/Bonn. We bring together people who want to visit each other, cultures waiting to be discovered, and regions that deserve better connections. That’s exactly what flying means to us – and that’s exactly what we want to offer our guests: even more of Europe, even more easily accessible.”

Thilo Schmid, CEO of Cologne Bonn Airport, added: “The new connections offer attractive opportunities for tourism, family visits, and business travel. As Eurowings’ home airport, we are very pleased about the expansion of the service offerings and the further development of our route network.”

Eurowings adds five new routes out of Cologne Bonn

In addition to Pristina, Tbilisi and Belgrade, Eurowings’ summer flight schedule at Cologne Bonn Airport also includes new routes to London LGW, served 13-weekly, and to Arrecife on Lanzarote.

Eurowings is Cologne Bonn’s largest carrier this summer season by available seat capacity, with over 1.9 million seats. It is followed by Ryanair with 1.7 million seats, while Pegasus Airlines and SunExpress each offer fewer than half a million seats during the summer season.
