New Routes of the Day (2 April 2022): Corendon Airlines between Antalya/Dalaman and Newcastle
Corendon Airlines (IATA code XC) began its first ever flights to Newcastle in the in north-east of the UK on Saturday 2 April with service from both Antalya and Dalaman. The fast-growing Turkish leisure carrier will operate both routes 2-weekly this summer. The Antalya service will be offered on Wednesdays and Saturdays with Dalaman flights operating on Tuesdays and Saturdays, using the airline’s 189-seat 737-800s.
Competition on both routes will be provided by Jet2.com and TUI Airways. According to Cirium schedule data for the peak summer month of August, Jet2.com will be serving Antalya 8-weekly and Dalaman 9-weekly, while TUI Airways will offer 2-weekly flights to Antalya and 3-weekly flights to Dalaman (starting 2 May).
This summer Corendon Airlines will be offering flights to Turkey from five UK airports. Apart from Newcastle, the airline will also be seen at Birmingham, Glasgow, London LGW and Manchester.
