New Routes of the Day – Americas (11 March 2026): Breeze’s new routes to Arcata-Eureka
Breeze inaugurated operations to Arcata–Eureka in California from both Las Vegas and Burbank on Wednesday 11 March and Tuesday 12 March respectively. Both the 950-kilometre Las Vegas service and the 910-kilometre Burbank route will be maintained with the A220-300 aircraft, with the former running 2-weekly and the latter 3-weekly. The carrier faces no competition on the two routes.

Breeze becomes second airline to serve Arcata-Eureka
Breeze becomes only the second airline to serve Arcata-Eureka after United, which maintains operations to Denver, Los Angeles and San Francisco. San Francisco is the busiest route, with 71,390 passengers in 2025, followed by Denver with 27,370 and Los Angeles with 20,610 travellers last year.
Burbank was previously served by Avelo Airlines, which operated flights to Arcata-Eureka until October 2025. It handled 19,280 passengers on the route over the ten-month period last year.
United and Breeze will be joined by Alaska Airlines, which will begin operations between Seattle and Arcata-Eureka on 8 April.
Located in McKinleyville in California, the airport serves the communities of Arcata, Eureka and the wider Humboldt County area. Situated along the state’s rugged northern coast, it provides essential air connectivity to what is otherwise a relatively isolated region.
