New Routes of the Day – Americas (5 March 2026): JetBlue Airways’ new routes to Destin-Fort Walton Beach
JetBlue Airways commenced operations to its newest destination in Florida by inaugurating flights to Destin-Fort Walton Beach from Boston and New York JFK on Thursday 5 March. Both the 1,910-kilometre service from Boston and the 1,610-kilometre flight from New York JFK will be maintained 5-weekly, every day except Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with the A220-300 aircraft. The carrier will compete against Allegiant Air on the Boston route but faces no competition from JFK.

With nonstop access to both JFK and Boston, we’re making it easier than ever for customers to travel between the Northeast and one of Florida’s most sought-after beach destinations, while also giving local residents convenient connections to JetBlue’s broader network.”

JetBlue now serves 11 destinations in Florida
These new routes build on JetBlue’s continued growth across Florida, where the airline now serves 11 destinations and is a leading carrier between the Northeast and the Sunshine State. Apart from Destin-Fort Walton Beach, JetBlue Airways also serves Daytona Beach, Key West, Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Jacksonville, Orlando MCO, West Palm Beach, Sarasota, Tampa and Vero Beach.
Although flights on both routes will be maintained 5-weekly, the carrier will increase frequencies to 8-weekly from Boston between 17 – 26 April, during which it will operate 2-daily flights on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, during Spring Break season.
Located along Florida’s Panhandle, the state’s northwestern part, Destin-Fort Walton Beach is known for its picturesque beaches.
