Prague Airport marks 65 years of Austrian Airlines service

Austrian Airlines and Prague Airport marked 65 years of continuous operations between Vienna and the Czech capital. The partnership dates back to the early jet age, when the airline steadily expanded its network across the region following its establishment in the late 1950s.
Over the decades, the Vienna – Prague route has evolved from a relatively limited connection into a key short-haul service feeding Austrian Airlines’ hub, offering passengers onward connectivity across Europe and long-haul markets.
The anniversary also shows the broader growth of Prague Airport as a major Central European gateway, handling over 16 million passengers annually in recent years and continuing to expand its route network and infrastructure.
Today, Austrian Airlines maintains 3-daily flights between Vienna and Prague, or 21-weekly services.
