Starlux brings golden A350-1000 to Prague

Starlux Airlines operated its distinctive AIRSORAYAMA Gold Airbus A350-1000 to Prague for the first time on 1 September, as the Taiwanese carrier upgraded capacity on its recently launched route from Taipei.
The aircraft, registered B-58554, features a special metallic gold livery created in collaboration with renowned Japanese artist Hajime Sorayama. Starlux, Airbus and paint manufacturer Mankiewicz developed a multilayer coating containing mica particles to achieve the aircraft’s distinctive metallic appearance while complying with aviation safety requirements.

Prague is one of only three destinations where Starlux plans to regularly deploy the AIRSORAYAMA aircraft, alongside Tokyo and Phoenix.
Starlux launched Taipei – Prague flights on 1 August, marking its first route to Europe. The 3-weekly service was initially operated with the 306-seat A350-900 but has switched to the larger 350-seat A350-1000 from September. The aircraft features First, Business, Premium Economy and Economy cabins.
Flights currently operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, while an additional Monday rotation will be added during October and November, increasing the service to four times per week.
