Transavia strengthens Brussels base with fourth aircraft and new routes
Transavia has established a fully operational local crew base at Brussels BRU, further strengthening its presence in Belgium as it expands its locally based fleet to four aircraft and adds new destinations.
The airline began operating from Brussels BRU in 2022, initially with a limited operation supported from the Netherlands. Since then, it has gradually expanded its presence, establishing local crews, growing its network and increasing the number of aircraft stationed in Brussels.
The addition of a fourth aircraft will enable Transavia to further expand its Brussels network. From 14 December, the carrier will introduce 3-weekly flights between Brussels and Porto.
Further growth is planned for the 2027 summer season, when Transavia will add Heraklion, Ponta Delgada and Thessaloniki to its Brussels network.

Transavia said the expansion is aimed at meeting growing demand among Belgian travellers for affordable flights to destinations across Europe and North Africa.
