Houston IAH has flights to 186 destinations

George Bush Intercontinental Airport is the second-busiest airport in Texas and ranks 15th within the US. In 2025, 48.1 million passengers passed through its doors, which was the second-highest volume to date. It is up by 6% compared to before the COVID-19 pandemic in 2019.

In Q4 2026, IAH has 7.4 million one-way seats to 186 destinations.  A total of 26 schedules airlines will serve Houston during this period. These also include 12 foreign long-haul carriers such as Air France, Air New Zealand, All Nippon, British Airways, Emirates, EVA Air, ITA Airways, KLM, Lufthansa, Qatar Airways, Turkish Airlines and ZIPAIR. Six are part of Star Alliance.

With 5.5 million one-way seats, Houston IAH is United’s third-largest hub. As it accounts for 75% of the airport’s total, it is a true fortress hub – and the hub at which the airline is most dominant. When other Star Alliance members are included, the share rises to 78%. It is the world’s seventh-largest Star hub and the second in the US after Chicago ORD.
